UKRAINE WAR
Ex-member of Ukrainian Nazi battalion admits military collapse
"The issue now is not the loss of certain settlements, but, in general, a significant improvement in the enemy's operational position in entire sectors"

Last Tuesday (25), Maksim Zhorin, a former member of the Azov Battalion, warned that Ukrainian troops are not just losing territory, but are on the verge of collapse in the face of the rapid advance of the Russian army.
According to Maksim, the situation of the Ukrainian army on the battlefront is getting worse every day.
“In some areas, in the absence of urgent decisions, the situation is becoming critical. In fact, I don’t remember such a rapid enemy advance for a long time.”
“The issue now is not the loss of certain settlements, but, in general, a significant improvement in the enemy’s operational position in entire sectors.”
The Russian army has conquered even more territory in recent weeks, such as the city of Kupyansk in eastern Ukraine.
The collapse of the Ukrainian army is getting worse and worse, with total losses since the start of the war in 2022 passing one million dead soldiers, further aggravated by troop shortages and desertions. The figures contrast with statements made in February of this year, when Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky told CBS News that since 2022 only 46,000 soldiers had been killed, with another 380,000 wounded. According to reports from the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office, more than 311,000 cases related to desertion and AWOL (absence without leave) were registered from the start of the war in February 2022 until October 2025. Thus, the Russian offensive continues to put pressure on the lines of defense, creating a scenario where the situation becomes increasingly critical for Ukraine, which is fighting simultaneously on the battlefront and at the negotiating table to accept the peace plan proposed by the US government.
International pressure is also mounting on the Ukrainian government. While the European Union and other allies continue to provide military and economic support, there are signs of growing weariness among the imperialist countries that have supported Ukraine, especially as the human and financial cost of the war rises.
The Russian government, for its part, has shown a willingness to continue the offensive until it achieves its strategic objectives. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu recently stated that Russia will not back down in its efforts to “demilitarize and denazify” Ukraine.
Amid this stalemate, Russian military experts say that Ukrainian resistance will depend on its ability to reorganize its forces and receive more external support. The arrival of new imperialist weapons systems, such as the Patriot air defense system, promises to help protect some key areas, but the situation on the ground continues to deteriorate rapidly.
