Freedom for Lucas Passos, Mossad political prisoner in Brazil!

On September 5, Brazilian Lucas Passos Lima was sentenced by the courts to more than 16 years in prison for “terrorism”. According to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF), he was recruited by the Lebanese Hesbolá party to promote attacks against the Jewish community in the Federal District.

Lucas Passos Lima was arrested in November last year at Guarulhos Airport in São Paulo after returning from a trip to Lebanon. The arrest was part of the investigations carried out by the Federal Police (PF) during Operation Trapiche.

The arrest of Lucas Passos is one of the most grotesque episodes in the history of the Federal Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office – institutions known for their trampling of the law and conspiracies against the Brazilian people.

According to the Federal Police’s investigations, the Brazilian allegedly joined Hesbolah and took part in “preparatory acts of terrorism” – whatever that means. The institution points out that Lucas Passos had searched on Google for Israeli synagogues, cemeteries and embassies, as well as collecting information on Jewish religious leaders – things that, even if they were proven to be true, are not a crime in Brazil.

The same operation that led to the arrest of Lucas Passos Lima ended up arresting a pagodero (!) accused of having gone to Lebanon to engage in “terrorist practices”. Among the stories formulated by the Federal Police was that one of the “recruits” had met personally with the “leader” of Hesbollah, but had backed down from his proposal because he “didn’t want to kill people”.

It wasn’t long before the real reason for the Brazilians’ arrest came to light. According to revelations by Prime Minister Benjamin Netaniahu himself, the Federal Police operation was carried out at the behest of “Israel’s” intelligence service – the Mossad. The Federal Police therefore acted on orders from a foreign “country”.

This is not, however, the only illegality, nor the only attack on the country’s sovereignty. Hesbollah is not considered a terrorist organization in Brazil, nor by the United Nations (UN). In fact, Hesbollah doesn’t even use suicide bombers as a method. The Federal Police are therefore acting in accordance with the parameters established not by Brazilian law, but by the US government and Zionism.

For the purposes of the law, Hesbollah is not a terrorist organization. What Lucas Passos is alleged to have done, if proven, cannot be accused of terrorism either. It is obviously a persecution. A persecution, in turn, whose target is not fundamentally the figure of Lucas Passos Lima, but the entire Arab community in Brazil.

To get to the point of convicting the Brazilian, the courts had to go through a process of total infiltration of Zionism into the country’s legal system. The Federal Police, in defiance of the Brazilian government, began to use the term “terrorist” for organizations such as the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas, in its Arabic acronym). So did the Ministry of Justice, headed by Ricardo Lewandowski.

The conviction of the Brazilian is another step towards establishing in Brazil that any Arab or any person who has traveled to an Arab country is considered a suspected criminal. It should be remembered that, last year, a Palestinian, Muslim Abuumar, was deported from Brazil on the grounds that he had links to Hamas and was therefore prevented from visiting his family. Shortly afterwards, a Palestinian family applied for refuge in Brazil and spent days waiting to be granted asylum, revealing the unwillingness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to deal with this community, which is already suffering from a slaughter perpetrated by “Israel” in their country of origin.

The condemnation of Lucas Passos Lima must be denounced by all those who fight against the genocide of the Palestinian people and by all those who defend democratic freedoms in Brazil. We must demand that the Brazilian government confront the sabotage of the Federal Police, infiltrated by a country that commits war crimes all the time, and establish a cooperative relationship with the Palestinian people, a people that is a brother to the Brazilian people.
