PSUV is ‘ready for a great victory for humanity’

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) has released a statement addressed to parties and social movements around the world, in which it strongly condemns the US military escalation in the Caribbean and calls for an international mobilisation of public opinion.

The statement centres on the denunciation of Operation Southern Spear, described by the party as a “huge psychological warfare operation” aimed at “unleashing violent actions and sowing the seeds of conflict in the region”.

The PSUV warns that the military manoeuvre is not an isolated incident. The text accuses the United States of trying to turn Venezuela into “the gateway to its new strategy of domination, openly and unashamedly colonialist”. The aim, according to the party, would be to force a war in a “zone of peace” and then expand it against any nation that opposes US interests.

The note sharply questions the United States’ intentions and whether the intention is to extend to Latin America the “unnatural practices that brutally exterminate families and children in the Gaza Strip”. The party also expresses indignation at the practice of bombing which, according to the statement, carries out “selective assassinations on the coasts of Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago”, questioning whether the United States “aspires to have the countries of the South pay the cost of its economic, political and moral crisis, at the point of plunder and violence?”.

Reiterating the “irreducible right to peace” and demanding respect for Venezuelan sovereignty, the PSUV calls on its peers and international solidarity to march united against what they call a “new colonialism, fascist and supremacist”.

The PSUV concludes the note by stating that the country is “ready and prepared for this great victory for humanity”.

Greetings to comrades from around the world:

Caracas, 14 November 2025

The United Socialist Party of Venezuela condemns the warmongering escalation of the United States in the Caribbean and calls on parties and movements around the world to join in a mobilisation of international public opinion to counter the huge psychological warfare operation implicit in the so-called “Operation Lanza del Sur”, which seeks to unleash violent actions and sow conflict in the region.

We warn the free peoples of the world: this is not an isolated manoeuvre. The United States intends to turn Venezuela into the gateway to its new strategy of domination, which is openly and brazenly colonialist. They are trying to force a war today in a zone of peace, only to extend it tomorrow against any country that contradicts their interests.

What do they want? To attack Latin America and the Caribbean with death, destruction and hatred? Extend to Our America the denaturalised practices that brutally exterminate families and children in the Gaza Strip? Normalise the unjustified bombings with which they carry out targeted assassinations on the coasts of Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago? Do they want the countries of the South to pay the cost of their economic, political and moral crisis, at the expense of looting and violence? Do they really think we’re their back yard?

From Venezuela we reiterate our irreducible right to peace and demand that our sovereignty be respected. We call on our peers, our friends and all international solidarity to mobilise in a creative and daring way.

We must march united against the new colonialism, fascist and supremacist, which has unleashed its death rage against the world.

In Venezuela, we are ready for this great victory for humanity.

Draft a statement of solidarity with Venezuela, demanding the immediate and definitive dismantling of the US military deployment in the Caribbean, in fulfilment of the CELAC mandate (2014), which declares Latin America and the Caribbean a zone of peace.
